Great Santa Cruz vacation

We come back every year and this year it was great to see that some updating had been done in the home. The updating that was done made our stay very enjoyable. We love the location because it's within walking distance of so much - the beach, the boardwalk, restuarants and downtown.
great location

Nice, comfortable house close to restaurants, store, and beach.( Beach access at the end of st). Three bedrooms upstairs, (1 king w/ bathroom, 1 queen with french doors that leads out to patio, 1 with two long twins) downstairs small room off of the family room with bunckbeds. Fully stocked kitchen. Great place to stay for a group.

From the moment we walked into this great little house we were charmed. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and the rest of the house was very comfortable. The location is great! We walked to pizza one evening, and to the beach to watch the sunsed the next. It's within walking distance of the Boardwalk and the harbor. Definitely a place we look forward to going back to.
Manager's Response:
We look forward to seeing you again! We are delighted that you were so comfortable at Charming Victorian! The owners are trying to update as much as possible but STILL keep the Victorian charm of the home.

Home was clean, well located and worked well for six adults and an active toddler. The front door's broken lock (apparently broken for some time)was an inconvenience and should be repaired. K&P was easy to work with, informative and responsive.
Victorian Home

We have stayed in this beautiful home numerous time over the past 10 years. The house is bright and cheery. The kitchen is well-stocked. However, over the last 10 years, the price has continued to climb but necessary repairs and maintenance have not be performed. The front door doesn't unlock causing us to get locked out several time. The windows are very old, don't open and stick. The wallpaper is really faded for the price they are charging. Another thing I would caution renters...last year we were denied access to rental of the propery for violating the "no pets" rule. We have never taken pets on vacation with us! Ever! Neighborhood dogs do break lose and wriggle thru fences when the locals set off fireworks in the street. (an annoying tradition in that area) All in all it is a great house but I feel it is really getting pricey. Good luck.
Manager's Response:
We are sorry for your inconvenience with the front door! I remember you getting locked out and we came right over to let you in. The front door lock is an antique and why it has not been changed. There are special instructions on that door but you can always go in thru the laundry room right off the carport parking. We look forward to you coming back again!
